There have been no posts since Saturday because the guys have been working at the new hospital job site. However, they should be back tomorrow and I'll update the blog after that.
In the meantime, the tiler and the electrician have continued to move ahead with their tasks. The tiler is on the final room, so will be done either today or tomorrow. Troy (electrician) will be here for awhile longer, running wires and hooking things up. He probably has about 2 weeks of work left to do, mainly because he can only be here at night and on Sundays. We've still got to finish a couple of things in my area before he goes, as well.
This blog will soon be finished and I'm not sure what all of you will then do with your lives. Maybe I can think of something else to blog about and keep you people out of trouble! Got any ideas?
Be sure to check back at some point over the weekend. Until then, have a Bermudaful day.

Weekend Post
Thought I'd wait until today to post and cover two days at once, since this was the first Saturday the guys have had a chance to work here for awhile.
Yesterday, the main focus was to dig a trench along the entire length of the driveway and across the front parking area to run the main water pipes to the pit. By the end of the day, the trench was dug and all pipes were put in place.
Johnny told me the actual name for that section of pipe, but I like my description much better!
This morning, the guys returned to cover up most of the trench, just leaving the main access points exposed for the Health Inspector to examine next week. They also worked on sealing up the new doors and windows, as well as finish off a few minor plastering jobs.
During the past few days, the tiler has been here and the rooms are quickly being completed. The painter and electrician have also been working in the evenings, so a couple more weeks and the kids should be ready to move in.
Be sure to check back on Monday for a further update!

3 Weeks of Stuff!
I've had all sorts of email, asking for new posts to the blog. Sorry it's taken so long, but I'll catch you up today. It's May 24th, Bermuda Day, so only the tiler is working today - so far. The painter and electrician may show up at some point, but we'll see.
The major renovations are just about finished and the contractor wanted to be out of here by the end of this week. However, I think a couple of the guys will still be around for part of next week, finishing up some of the little things.
Although I didn't post to the blog, I continued taking pictures of the daily activity and will share most of them today. After this, the only other major construction will be when the guys channel out the driveway and install water pipes, which will be attached to the pit in the front yard.
At this point, all of the new doors and windows have been installed. The initial plan was to put a French door on the wall along the current driveway, but it was decided to put it at the front of the house instead. This meant the outside access to the water tank had to be chopped down and the tank top cover now resides on top of a new outside step.
The inside walls of my previous office were chopped out and steel beams had to be inserted to take the load of the upstairs structure. This resulted in a larger area for the new living room and an open plan to the new kitchen from there.
Okay, here come the pictures. Enjoy!
Now, you're up to date with the renovation progress. I'll do my best to post the remaining outside work on a more timely basis, so keep checking back!
