Johnny was the only person to work throughout the day and his task was to remove the wall. He had to use a Bobcat, an Excavator and a dump truck to get the job done. And, as always, he was able to get this first step completed by the end of the afternoon.
Removing the top layer of the wall |
Transferring the rubble to the truck |
Removing the main wall |
Some of the work had to be done by hand |
The first section of wall has begun to be removed |
The "big guns" arrive to help with the task |
This parking spot has been reserved for the Excavator! |
Getting back to work on the wall |
A large piece of wall is removed |
A closer look at the progress thus far |
Looks like the rock is getting harder........ |
........Time to bring in "The Excavator!" |
Watch out for the Frangipani tree! |
Just one small section of wall remains |
Who put that electric pole in the way? |
A line is marked to determine where the new wall will be built |
The various building supplies should be delivered tomorrow and the concrete footing for the wall will most likely be put in place. Unfortunately, we're expecting some tropical storm force winds to arrive by the end of the day, which will delay things for a short time. Hopefully, Rafael will pass by quickly and the project can be completed within a couple of days.
