Tony and Chris started the final touches on the plaster work around the "dungeon" windows, Johnny prepared the new location for the hot water heater (in the radio room), and Luis installed the grating over the window-well area.

The plan was to begin jack hammering out the garage today, so the remaining items were removed later in the morning. I had moved a lot of the things, yesterday, while the guys were working on the hospital project, but there were some heavy items that I couldn't move on my own.
It took 3 guys to move this workbench |
When the garage was almost totally empty, the jack hammering began. After a short time, the first "hidden surprise" was found - a large PVC pipe that goes from the roof to the water tank. We'll certainly find other pipes, as well as metal conduit for electrical wiring, as the jack hammering continues. Everything will have to be re-routed eventually.

Uh oh.... a water pipe is quickly discovered |
So, where has all the stuff from the "dungeon" and the garage been temporarily located? Mostly, right here in my current office with me! The flammable items, along with a variety of outdoor tools, have been placed in the storage space under the new stairs.
The boxes are taking over the room! |
Troy won't be stopping by tonight, so no further electrical work will be done until tomorrow evening. Hopefully, we can get more conduit in place and then I can run some wires on the weekend, while the other guys take a well deserved break.
