The guys all went to the new hospital project in the morning, but a couple of them showed up later for a short time and then went back to the hospital. Some "pointing up" of block that had been chopped out, the night before, was done.
Troy had chopped out some of the block in the stairs area and ran conduit to various places for lights and switches, then connected them to electrical boxes. The stairs area was now able to be finished off by the construction team.

Thursday, March 15th:
The plan was to begin getting the stairs ready for completion, which meant that all the formwork had to be put in place before any plastering could be done. I only took a few pictures in the morning, then a couple more at the end of the day.

During the afternoon, I was out in the window-well, painting the walls with primer to help keep out the moisture. It actually helped to reflect light into the "dungeon" rooms and should brighten things up down there. The window-well is quite deep and I had to use an extension handle to reach the upper walls, then climb the ladder to touch up the very top edges all around the area with a brush.

Troy arrived at the end of the afternoon, just as I was finishing the painting. After I cleaned up and had a quick bite to eat, I went back downstairs to help him with the electrical work. We wanted to complete all the work in the ceilings of my office and radio room in order to be ready when the construction crew gets to that part of the project.

Friday, March 16th
The guys got right to work, building the staging in order to plaster the outside wall of the stair area. They all work very quickly and efficiently, and it's amazing to see how this type of work is actually done. By the end of the afternoon, it was finished and the staging was put in place to begin work on the inside area of the stairs, tomorrow.

The guys will be here again in the morning and should get the ceiling, above the stairs, completed. They may even start to plaster the inside walls. Guess we'll know when it happens!
Nice teamwork!
