Tuesday Time

Everyone was geared up for the day's production and the action started right away with the guys getting to work on the new roof.  The first step was to build a template to match the gable end of the original roof.  Once the formwork was in place, it was filled with concrete and left to solidify overnight.

Just about the time the finishing touches were being put on the roof, the new outside door for the stairway arrived.

The last job of the day was to build the structure for a ceiling in the stairway.  Luis did the construction, while Chris assisted from below.

Tomorrow, the guys will be back at the new hospital project, so things will be quiet around here again.  Just as well, since I'll be going to the airport to pick up my mate, Scott, who will be vacationing on the island for the next couple of weeks.  Scott's blog is "The Canadian Loon," which you can visit from the link I have at the top (right column) of my blog.  He has lots of great photographs and has recently added video clips, using his GoPro camera.  Be sure to check out his blog!
