Thursday Tremors

It sure was noisy here today!  A single jack hammer started at 7:30am and, by the middle of the afternoon, there were two of them going at the same time.  But, at least one third of the garage floor is now mostly dug up, so the noise was worth it.

Yesterday's post showed a picture of the hot water heater being installed in a new location.  It was the old hot water heater, which looked like it should be replaced, but we thought it might have a bit more life in it.  Well, this morning I found water on the floor around the heater and had to go out to get a new one.  I'll take a picture of the new one for tomorrow's post, since additional work was done on the steps and I didn't have access to that area before writing this post tonight.  I'll also get a picture of the finished steps at the same time - Tony did a great job on them.

It should be noted that the heater was filled with 40 gallons of hot water, so it took all four guys to get it up the steps.  You can't see them in the above picture, but Luis and Tony are pushing from the bottom as Johnny and Chris carefully pull the trolley to ensure the heater stays on the wooden planks.

Troy stopped by this evening and installed the wiring for the four lights in the downstairs bedroom.  These lights will eventually be on the new electrical circuit, but they are hooked into the radio room circuit for now.  I didn't take a picture of the lights while they were on tonight, again because I couldn't walk on the steps until tomorrow.  However, it was amazing to see just how bright the "dungeon" looks with 8 lights on at the same time!
